Set up SEO for a page
Control the title and description Google shows for each page.
-
Open SEO & sharing
In the builder's left panel, open the SEO & sharing tab. It carries the metadata for the page you are editing.
-
Write the meta title
Aim for roughly 60 characters, front-loading the important words. The tab shows live counters and a Google-style preview so you can see exactly what searchers get.
-
Write the meta description
About 160 characters, written to be clicked rather than to please a keyword tool. This is the sentence under your title in search results.
-
Set the sharing image
Add an OG image so links to the page look right when pasted into chat apps and social feeds. Use a page-specific image rather than a generic logo.
-
Mind the URL
The page slug is part of the address. Keep it short and readable - changing it later breaks any existing links.
Good to know
- One page, one topic. If a page tries to rank for everything, it ranks for nothing.
- Write titles for people first; the counter is a guide, not a rule.
