Create your first website
Spin up a new site, give it a name, and land in the builder with an editable homepage.
-
Open Websites
From the dashboard, go to Websites in the sidebar. Everything on the platform is organised website first, page second.
-
Add a website
Click Add Website. Give it a name (the site title your visitors see) and, optionally, a slug and domain. You can change all of these later.
-
Pick a starting point
Choose a template from the library or start from a blank canvas. You can add templates later too, so this choice is not permanent.
-
You land on the Home page
Every new website is created with a Home page, and the builder opens straight onto it. The page is already a real, editable page - not a preview.
-
Save and publish
Press the Save button (or Ctrl+S), then Publish when you are ready for the world to see it.
Good to know
- Name the website after the client or brand, not the project - you will thank yourself when you have twenty of them.
- A website can hold many pages; the Home page is just the first one.
